CAISO Virtual Presentation

Our February event featured speaker Keoni Almeida from the California Independent System Operator (CAISO). Mr. Almeida is CAISO’s Manager of Stakeholder Affairs. In this role, he develops stakeholder engagement strategies and oversees the development of plans to move initiatives from concept to implementation. Mr. Almeida works collaboratively with stakeholders in developing and implementing ISO initiatives related to storage, demand response, transmission planning, regional energy imbalance markets, and other market products. He has worked at CAISO since it started operations in 1998.

 CAISO is a non-profit corporation chartered by the State of California to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of California’s electric transmission system and to facilitate an open-access market to the Bulk Electric System in California. In this webinar, we will get an overview of CAISO, hear about its markets and infrastructure processes, and learn about some of the emerging issues facing the organization.
